Creative Protest
2011 for me will go down as the year i discovered just how creative the art of protesting could be. Time magazine gave there ‘Person of the Year’ slot this year to the protester not one individual which i think is a great statement. So here’s a thew images of Creative protesters from around the world taken from buzzfeed.com
In this episode some of the artist talk about the thought process that goes into the work they do and also Martha Cooper the famous street art photographer i’ve blogged about before speaks about her involvement in the project.

Buffalo is one of the most influential styles in fashion; the founders were essentially Ray, photographers Jamie Morgan,...
Running 2
This is the second time I’ve blogged about my passion for running. This time i’ve put together a collection of films and advertisements that really capture the essence of running for me in 2011. I hope they inspire you to put your running shoes on and go for a run what ever the weather!

The Vorticists
Went to a great exhibition at the Tate Britain on Vorticism which was an avant gard art movement that emerged in London in 1914. A collective of young artists and poets Launched a journal ‘Blast’ which set out Vorticisms ideas and values by ‘blasting’ or ‘blessing’ different aspects of British and Foreign culture. All very punk to me. Below are some images taken...

This is a really interesting peek into the world of Pantone, the design world’s color standard. The film was directed by Greg Mitnick and produced by Amy Keloaha who’s also the editor of the trend based website Cool Hunting. This is a rare glimpse at what seems to be a very secret industry…
Jean Michel Basquiat
I’ve been seeing loads of things about Basquiat recently. Perhaps he’s just ‘in vogue’ with the media at the moment but i’m not knocking it – it’s a good thing.
Basquiat’s work, style and life has been an inspiration to me since I was a teenager discovering the arts, and he still is. His life was too short, simple as that.
Here’s a little section...
